In general, economic analyses are dedicated to investigating the economic viability of agrivoltaic systems. Both the operation level, especially various stakeholder constellations, and the market ramp-up and its potential are of interest. Furthermore, our team develops business models that ensure the successful implementation of agrivoltaics.

Aiming to assess the economic viability, we analyze investment and operating costs as well as revenues. Additionally, the profitability of an investment project is evaluated by using common methods of dynamic investment calculation.

Our services are as follows:

  • Cost estimation of agrivoltaics projects: Taking into account the current market situation as well as the desired design, we can provide a rough estimate of the costs and, in particular, include any economies of scale that may occur.
  • Profitability assessment of investment projects: Based on yield simulations of both PV and agriculture, we can carry out comprehensive economic analyses that provide meaningful insights into e. g. the net present value, the amortization period and electricity production costs.
  • Development of business models: According to the existing stakeholder constellation, profitable and context-adapted business models can be suggested that meet the needs of the stakeholders involved and leverage the economic potential in the best possible way.
  • Assessment of market potential: We prepare market and potential analysis taking into account GIS potential analyses and various relevant factors such as regulatory framework conditions, social acceptance or grid expansion.
